RHD Organizational Structure

RHD Organizational Structure

At the Resource Hub for Development (RHD), our structure reflects inclusivity, accountability, and impact.

At the top, the Board of Directors provides governance, strategic oversight, and ethical leadership. Comprising professionals from diverse fields—law, healthcare, education, climate change, finance, sustainable agriculture, human rights, GEDSI, Research, Sports, and community development—the Board ensures accountability, approves policies, and safeguards RHD’s mission and vision.

Daily operations are overseen by the Executive Director, who provides leadership, builds partnerships, and represents RHD nationally and globally; and is supported by the Executive Management Team, which includes the Director of Programs, Finance Manager, Operations Manager, and Administrative Lead—ensuring smooth coordination of strategy, budgets, and resources.

RHD’s core interventions are led by Program Managers, heading units in Education, Skills & Research, Health, Rights & Social Inclusion, Women-Gender & Equality, Sustainable Agriculture, Food Security & Climate Justice, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WaSH),  Peace-Sports-Intercultural Dialogue & Exchanges, and Advocacy, Civic Engagement & Rights Awareness.

Leadership within these units is deliberately balanced, with 70% of senior positions held by young women, reflecting our commitment to gender equality and youth empowerment. Field Coordinators, Outreach Workers, and Trainers within each program ensure grassroots delivery and meaningful inclusion of marginalized groups.

The Research & Advocacy Unit drives evidence-based impact by conducting community needs assessments, documenting human rights violations, and amplifying grassroots voices. It protects human rights defenders while fostering inclusive participation in policymaking and accountability processes.

Operational efficiency is supported by the Support Services Division, which manages Human Resources, Communications, and Monitoring & Evaluation. These ensure transparent recruitment, impactful storytelling, digital visibility, and rigorous results reporting to donors and partners.

Finally, our Volunteer and Youth Network strengthens community ownership by mobilizing local changemakers, professionals, and activists to co-create innovative solutions.

This inclusive and participatory structure—youth-led, women-centered, and community-driven—ensures RHD remains a trusted partner in advancing human rights, gender equality, and sustainable development in Kenya.

Something pretty incredible happens when we get intentional about serving through volunteering. Through voluntary service, we can multiply our talents and abilities for even greater potential than we can even imagine.
