With climate change threatening food supplies, RHD We equip smallholder farmers with eco-friendly tools, training, and climate-smart practices to secure food systems, protect biodiversity, agroforestry, and build resilience. We amplify their voices in climate policy dialogues for true climate justice and promote biodiversity conservation, organic farming, and sustainable practices that increase yields while protecting the environment. Our work improves nutrition, income security, and resilience, ensuring families can thrive today while safeguarding resources for tomorrow. Women and youth are at the center of these initiatives, ensuring sustainability for future generations.
We establish community-based training hubs where smallholder farmers—especially women and youth—learn modern, climate-smart techniques such as crop diversification, drip irrigation, organic fertilizers, and pest management. These hubs also act as demonstration farms, enabling farmers to see real-time results of eco-friendly practices. With donor support, we help farmers increase yields, reduce losses, and adapt to climate shocks.
RHD provides farmers with sustainable tools and technologies like solar-powered irrigation pumps, energy-saving stoves, and organic composting kits. By replacing harmful practices with green innovations, we reduce carbon emissions, conserve biodiversity, and lower input costs. Donor investment ensures that even the most marginalized farmers can access affordable tools to farm responsibly while protecting the planet.
Through tree planting, agroforestry, and community biodiversity campaigns, we restore degraded lands, conserve water sources, and create windbreaks that protect farmlands. Farmers integrate fruit and medicinal trees into their farms, securing both nutrition and income. Donor contributions drive nature-positive agriculture that strengthens ecosystems while directly combating the impacts of climate change.
We empower farmers, women, and youth to participate in climate dialogues and policy-making forums at local and national levels. By amplifying grassroots voices, we ensure that climate policies address the realities of smallholder farmers and protect their rights. With donor partnership, RHD transforms marginalized farmers into climate justice champions, securing sustainable futures for their communities.
