Exchange Programs and Non-formal education

Empowering Youth, Bridging Cultures, and Inspiring Global Citizenship

We believe that transformation begins when young people are given the platform to learn beyond borders. Our Exchange Programs and Non-Formal Education Initiative connects Kenyan youth, women, and grassroots changemakers with global peers through intercultural mobility, learning exchanges, and experiential training. Supported by European Commission programs such as Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, and other international partnerships, this initiative nurtures leaders who are globally aware yet locally grounded.

Through youth exchanges, study visits, mentorships, and collaborative innovation labs, participants engage in life-changing experiences that promote intercultural understanding, diversity, and inclusion. Non-formal education workshops focus on essential 21st-century skills—digital literacy, green entrepreneurship, climate action, social innovation, and community leadership—helping participants co-create solutions for sustainable development in their communities.

Our exchange programs also serve as a platform for policy dialogue, research collaboration, and creative entrepreneurship, bridging rural and urban perspectives while strengthening international solidarity. By fostering mutual respect, empathy, and cooperation among diverse cultures, RHD empowers young people to become peace ambassadors, innovators, and agents of social change.

These exchanges are more than travel opportunities—they are catalysts for lasting partnerships, capacity building, and shared prosperity. Through every exchange, RHD is shaping a new generation of global citizens committed to equality, peace, and sustainable development — turning dialogue into action and cultural diversity into collective strength.

In cooperation with other international organization based in Europe such as PRISM-Italy, Inter Alia- Greece, Per Esempio- Onlus – Italy, Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences –Research Committee, Budapest Association for International Sports (Hungary), WE-AfriHug, Youth Makers Hub, Danilo Dolci – Italy among other partners; and through the support from EAC- Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency under ERASMUS+ Programme Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices, RHD have implemented the following key projects:
