At RHD, we believe that access to quality healthcare is a human right. Our HIV/AIDS, TB, and malaria sub-program focuses on reducing infection rates, improving access to treatment, and dismantling stigma in healthcare settings. We deliver community-based testing and counseling, connect patients to life-saving treatment, and provide follow-up support to ensure adherence.
What sets us apart is our work with the most marginalized communities—including persons with disabilities (PWDs), sex workers, and LGBTQ+ groups—who often face double layers of stigma and discrimination when seeking care. We empower these groups through peer-led education, home-based care networks, and safe referral systems that build trust and restore dignity. Recognizing that pregnant women and newborns are among the most vulnerable, we integrate maternal and neonatal health care into our community-based interventions.
Through mobile clinics and trained midwives, mothers receive antenatal and postnatal care, safe childbirth support, and early infant HIV testing. At the same time, our campaigns distribute mosquito nets, health kits, and provide TB/HIV screenings—ensuring that women and their infants remain protected.
.With your support, we can expand testing, treatment adherence programs, and preventive education to reach thousands of vulnerable families; expand maternal-friendly health services in marginalized regions, so every mother delivers safely, and every newborn gets a healthy start in life, free from preventable illness and discrimination.
Together, we can turn the tide against preventable deaths and create healthier, stigma-free communities.
