Humanitarian Aid & Resilience

At RHD, we know that poverty and inequality are often worsened by crises beyond people’s control—from droughts and floods to conflict and displacement. Our Humanitarian Aid & Resilience Program provides lifesaving relief and long-term recovery support to communities in Kenya’s most marginalized regions. We prioritize women, children, persons with disabilities, and internally displaced families, ensuring they receive urgent help when they need it most—while also building the resilience needed for the future. We achieve this by delivering food, clean water, shelter, and essential health supplies to crisis-hit families; safeguarding survivors of GBV, conflict, and displacement with dignity-focused care; supporting communities with climate-smart solutions, peacebuilding, and livelihood restoration; and working hand-in-hand with local leaders and volunteers for fast, inclusive, and effective responses.
